Reverend Rudy Poettcker
For those who may not know, our Pastor Rudy Poettcker had been battling cancer. Elder Roy Burrell sent this to our members:
Brothers and sisters,
The following is the announcement from sister Poettcker: “On Sunday, March 8, at 5:47 a.m. Rudy walked through the valley of the shadow of death and is now with our precious Savior. He has joined the great cloud of witnesses and now rests in the presence of the Lord.”
As members of King’s, we thank the Lord for the life and ministry of our beloved pastor, Rudy. Through his faithful preaching of the Word, loving care for the flock, and steadfast devotion to Christ, the Lord richly blessed our congregation. We are deeply grateful for the years he served among us and for the example of faith he left behind.
Even in our sorrow, we rejoice in the hope of the gospel—that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). To God be the glory for the life and testimony of His servant.
Funeral Arrangements
Sharilyn and family warmly invite all who would like to attend the Interment Gathering Sunday, March 15 at 2:00 PM. Reverend Thomas Booher will preside.
The interment will take place at:
Bugg Street Community Cemetery, 2685 Bruce B. Bugg Street, Melbourne, Florida 32901. You will see the graveside tent upon arrival.
Following the interment, we would love for you to join us for a Thanksgiving Service at 4:00 PM at the church at 1300 E. University Blvd, Melbourne, Florida 32901. Reverend Asgar Hamid will preside.
Dessert and coffee will be served afterward, and we would be grateful for the opportunity to spend this time together.
As an additional invitation, all are welcome to join us for Lord’s Day worship at King’s Church at 10:00 AM
